The miter saw instructions you give precautions to follow for a given blade does not catch the metal (the part that is cut) and round like a ball on the back side of the saw. I can not say enough good things about this saw. I got it for about a month and it works perfectly within its boundaries. Set up was easy and adjustments have been there out of the box. 40T blade it comes with is hard on wood and dust bag does not really work (like most of them), but can be adapted to a vacuum. Easy to adjust and relatively compact. Laser works well, and throat zero clearance is nice. Finally, I want a 12 "double bevel, but I'll use it for a long period of time.reduction equipment more than I do are better done with a table saw anyway. Excellent tool like most Ridgid tools I used.

Bought this on Amazon in April 2006. He replaced my tank type 10 "miter saw Milwaukee - the most accurate tool I ever used so far Makita arrived. Every time I use this tool, I fell in love with her again . So I thought I "owed" it a good review. I am not a professional trader, craftsman, carpenter, etc. - just an owner who gets too excited sometimes so over my head. I take a lot of wood perfectly well and convert 'em to sawdust and thresholds - but now Ido it with a big smile and with more precision than I deserve. If I had to choose a word for this saw - one - it would be good.

No. Make that SMOOOOTH place.

Being able to bevel and miter of both sides gives me confidence to tackle difficult cuts. I find myself enjoying that "something extra" bit of trim and finish work on all the work - it gives me an excuse to practice with this saw. I do things I would not even bother to try, if I did not have this tool. InBesides cutting performance and accuracy, it proved very versatile in my small garage shop because I can swing the saw around the place of wood (usually cedar dimension). capcity Nice - 4x4 Stck cup or 2x4 on edge with ease. My most difficult compound cuts so far? Attic Vents building custom pinion and mounting the coverslip strips (45 degree angle) into a chamber octagonal. The math angle was a bit of a challenge (!) But once calculated, the reductions were easy toset up and run on this saw - and died. Yeah, I know what you think: "gable vents? Gable Vents! Problem ..." Me too - until I got these multiple angle end cuts.

The saw is well designed and built with quality. No problems of 3-1/2 years (it is true) occasional use. The blade is excellent, with reductions similar to those of my table saw blade Forrest. Even with the great Amazon - free shipping, too - it was the second most expensive tool I have everpurchased (after my table saw). But I have never regretted. Not once.

Vows: second retaining clip would be nice (mine came with a clamp and two extensions). I am moving the clamp to the "other" side frequently. Like most Makita tools, accessories and parts are easy to find so I'll probably soon be a catch. Cheers!

The short version ... is study, take time to refine if necessary, could use a shim kit. Content, content with my purchase.

The good, it is robust. I'm 190 pounds and can sit on it and it does not feel it's going to bed like a lawn chair at a low price, it is actually quite solid feeling when loaded.

The settings are very simple and basic, which means that refining may take trial and error. As you secure the knobs to adjust the height,the arm may move for a change, so it may take a few tries to get the setup right. But once fixed, just a little care will ensure that you do not knock the adjustment fairly easy and no problem.

For me, the biggest problem is not with the stand, but with my miter saw, a Ridgid brand. The base plate is a kind of conical, then the front mounting holes are further behind. Now, the stand comes with adapters for that, but with my saw, the cards are toomany a stage. This is not a flaw in the medium itself, the conception of the poor with my saw. However, when you install the cards, one end of the saw is a bit higher then the other, some washers have been to Nice for the dock so it would be level. This will be something very simple and minor for me to fix, but it should come with washers / shims first.

I cut my first 4 pieces of extruded aluminum T-slot and four parts must be exactly the same length,which is 95% of the reason I bought this stand. It made perfect once I managed to set up and refined (15 minutes). So with that, I am very happy with my purchase of this right and shall have standing for future projects instead of cutting huddled on the floor as I have been in the past.

I had this saw for several months. It is a powerful but quiet SILKY SMOOTH saw right.

It is surprisingly high due to the drag functionality. I had to move my work bench to welcome him.

Make sure you have ENOUGH behind the saw.

I regretted my choice and wish I had gone with a bevel compound as the Dewalt 716 until I had to cut 2x12 last weekend. The Makita went through them as if they were so 1 / 4 "plywood conscoated with peanut butter.

Obviously a decent blade for the saw.

I really like the separate switch for the laser, I can use to align my cup without running the saw.

Dust is not great. I put an adapter instead of the dust bag and attached my Shop Vac. It helped, but the system of an empty bench near the top of the blade protection is still needed or perhaps a scoop at the rear ofsaw attached to a real dust collection system.

My saw arrived with a broken lever bevel. It is only a part of $ 4, so I decided to order me rather than a problem with Amazon or anyone else. I also wanted optional accessories.

There is virtually no barrier on the right side of the blade. However, there is a factory option available is complementary closing a horizontal flange.

I went to a shelter nearby who seems to specialize in Makita where they have abig screen and they had representatives on the plant site several times in the past. When the salesman looked at the closing price of the attachment clip and they almost had to call 911 to restart my heart. Together, they cost more than 1/4th of the price of the new saw.

Even if I have a scandal for the bevel lever and attachment to the right fence.

The wait for the bevel lever was approx. one week. Good service, good price for a 3 "piece of plastic.
A few months later 2 + attachment closing never happened. I hope this is not so, I made a homemade setting that works, but is not, of course, so pretty. But the fact is quite as nice and about $ 5 per square inch of the fence is a Makita littttle expensive if it happens EVER.

This is a great saw, but it scares me to think what will or will not occur if the saw crashes and I have to wait an essential and very important! The letters S - O - L aheadmind.

I was kneeling on the ground for too long! I do a good amount of finish work. But always felt much of the stand and the cost of a decent unit was not worth it. Always pat the Dewalt stand in the center, but the tag near $ 200 was too high. I was wrong. The cost is less than the Dewalt. Not as cool as the extruded aluminum on the Dewalt. But well constructed of galvanized steel. I mounted my Dewalt saw to it without any problem. This is the same unit as proposed byanother manufacturer, but with the labels of Milwaukee. It went together in a snap and I was hooked after the first miter fit perfectly. No matter how you hold the longer pieces, or how you try and stack the debris of supporting cast. You always have the risk of slight variance in your tab. Just a fraction of the results seen in a huge gap on the wall. This unit is sturdy, galvanized, and folds easily. Nice Rides in the van, although you should save a chunk of floor forit. And as I noted in the comments of others ... Always love to buy Made in USA!

I recently bought and just received the Starrett-12 CP505A angles. I heard poor reviews (online and work colleagues) on the cheaper models (505A and 505A-12-7) in terms of accuracy (especially since they are not exact due to the gauge decals be out of alignment from the factory). I spent extra for the PC version, because it has good reviews and is claimed to be laser engraved / embossed. Looking at the indicators, it appears that, although may be burned, they are still just pasted decalson the aluminum unless the aluminum underneath the sticker is engraved, but I'm not going to take off the sticker and ruin the tool $ 85 just to know. I think my point is that I am a bit disappointed after paying a premium to find that it seems that the metal is not written, just the sticker, which may peel or deranged. My concern justified? I probably would not have bought if only the labels have been cut and not the body itself. Otherwise, it seemsbe properly constructed and graduations are queuing.

I had this saw for a couple of years. This is a great saw that has never been stuck or loss of power. The horizontal handle is superb. The blade is not bad either, but it took a little oak and some plywood pieces I recently cut. The only drawback is size. Recently, I had to cut some shelves that was 9 "wide, too big for the saw. I wish I had the 10" saw format (36-240). If you plan to keep your small sized projects it is an excellent saw. ! If youto larger projects, namely shelves, bookcases, etc., then invest in the Delta 36-240 Sidekick sliding miter saw. I also added a LaserKerf to mine, which is a big plus ... Overall, this saw is phenomenal for the price and I will continue to buy Delta.

DELTA 36-225 10-Inch Compound Miter saw Overview

This 10-inch compound miter saw from Delta is a sturdy, well-balanced, smooth-cutting saw perfect for use on the job site or in a small shop. Its safety-conscious design includes an electric brake, a see-through retracting blade guard, and a dust and chip collection system. The blade tilts 45 degrees to the left, and the table pivots a full 45 degrees in both directions. This saw has a maximum bite of 1-3/4 by 4 inches when set to a full 45-by-45-degree compound cut (just enough for two-by-fours). Delta priced this saw to attract home users, but they built it to withstand the rigors of professional use. I think the sliding saws are more expensive and more-apt to run out of alignment and become bogged down in heavy materials. The 10 "compound miter saws, while more affordable, the lack of cutting ability and, frankly, are notGet the design and construction attention as the saws are more. The 12 "miter fall in the middle. (And the middle value is always the best). They're getting attention on the construction and design, as they aim to the contractor, they have a cutting capacity Decent and they are robust, but portable. I decided that of all other 12 "saws because it has a zero clearance throat plate (a must to remove detachable), triggers excellent tabs, and a strong engine. Using a kind of special-purpose template that is placed on a bench along the Nice in a large clean work shop is the best way to cut crown molding for inside corners. But for those of us who work in garages or are crammed into the cutting room we're remodeling, the foot of adaptation will. I tried to do inside corners with a facility on a chop saw (very good), using a hand coping saw (sucks), using a Dremel tool (totally sucks), armed a reciprocating saw as a swordthe casting (works better than you think but still aspires), and finally found the foot of adaptation. My joints inside are not perfect yet, but at least with the foot of adaptation seems to greatly speed things.
I purchased mine at Western Tool Supply in the Seattle area.
The instructions recommend Bosch T244D blades and I found these work best effect.
They also argue that the adjustment foot installed on most jigsaws. Unfortunately, jigsaws are now equipped with finger protectionthat interfere with your foot to adapt. I had to go buy a cheap second jig saw with a finger guard plastic, easy to cut, just for use with the foot to adapt. I marked with a star review for the manufacturer not to be a little better in this regard.

In preparation for building my house, I bought the work center of Troy 35 "(TWC-35) for a price of 115.00 to fly, take my Milwaukee 12" sliding compound miter saw (seen enough heavy) . Also bought an extra roll.

Many people have to consider the 27 "or 35" kit. I did a lot to think about how high I wanted the saw before buying the larger size. I used a 2x6 14 'that passes through to the last 10 months. I'm 5'8 "with a 30" inseam, and I did not oncethought about the height of the saw with this configuration - it was perfect. The material is there, safely in front of you without bending over. My 5'7 "with 28" inseam 76 years old father has put a lot of time on this saw / stand and prefers the 35 "too high. At this stage, I could not imagine using the center 27 Work," by back is tired enough as it is. I ran almost all the material through the saw, including all sizes of wood, OSB, PVC, Hardiplank, fittings, etc., and never had a negative impactthought about the final height of the saw with 35 "legs and 2x6 crossbar. I do not have 27" legs too, and it is unnecessary to use the saw stand - 35 "is the way forward.

"I use a single clamp 24" mounted vertically as a cessation of multiple cuts of the same length, very adjustable in this way.
The saw stand-hook mounting base a little loose on the size of 2x6 wood, so I propped the clamps tightened with two old 7-1/4 "blade one-framer carbide, and exploitnext to the timber so that the clips that tighten against the metal of the blade. Takes a lot of stir because the clamps normally just dig into the tie and never really close. Any thin metal working to make this dock.
-If your saw is heavy, as is mine, there will be some flex in the Assembly as a saw head slides on the track and the scales tip toward you. This is a very slight flexion and does not bother me.
The guide-roller that I bought is more convenientkeep a roll on one side and two on the other side. Much less mobile shingle around.
-Two people can move the stand / saw combo fairly easily. Sliding he set his legs as they enter the sub-floor, particularly with a heavy saw. Does not seem to cause permanent damage, but probably not good to move around. Would cutting blade on the concrete well.
-If no help is available and the stand must be moved several ways, I just remove the base of the saw and the operations change.
Legs-clampingwood as a person. Get placed at the correct angle, use your feet to start the legs apart to tighten the wood, then lightly step on the support via their snap in the lockset. Then do the same thing for another. Takes a little practice, but in the end I can get them quickly and safely. The teeth dig and there is no way those legs off, unless you want them. I read about someone complaining about his legs in bulk: the standard dimensionalWood is simply not possible. I think perhaps he does not step in the cons-ways to tighten hinge and lock. They are foolproof, if properly installed.
During the phase of siding construction, the work center stayed out of cold showers and occasional. I was initally concerned about the humidity ruining the base, but it has. We bungeed a tarp on the saw and a work center and everything was fine. The moisture would eventually cause a problem if, if left exposed. If you're breakingthis every night and throw the pieces in a truck - the base of the saw must be protected from moisture during travel. Of course, it would be fairly simple to make a new base and mount the bracket on it.
-To measure up, I'm almost using the worst case with the Milwaukee 12 "SCMS. It is a beast and runs very well on this stand, just a little flex as shown.
-On occasion, I used a separate 35 "rack * Trojan I c-clamed the 2x6 work center to providesupport additional work long. * I have enough extra legs of Troy for the construction of two 35 "saw horses with 2x6 timber and two 27" 2x8 wooden trestles. You can use different wood fordifferent heights - at your fingertips. Each level had its own uses and I am more than satisfied with the performance. Simple, very strong and very reliable. These things take a stack of weight and have not met their match at the moment - and doubt they will.

Full line of Trojan workcenters easel legs / are strong, versatile, highly mobile, and The Cat's Meow far as I'm concerned. Excellent buy, expecially if you catch the work center for sale 115-120. I never noticedeasel legs pass to a sale price, but the center 35 of work "certainly did.

I have been building kitchen cabinets and furniture and a good amount of construction / renovation of more than 30 years. I tried several blades manufacturers and so far has been a loyal user of Freud. Well, all you need to do is to try one of these blades and you realize what you missed. The quality of the blade is first class, but more importantly, the quality of the cut is by far the best of any I've used.

I always used a zero clearance insert on my tablesaw anda basis of zero clearance on my 7-1/4 "circular saw for cutting free a tear. This blade produces a lot less tears even without a release device that zero incredible. I still use zero clearance devices when cutting plywood or laminates because I am a perfectionist, but you get the point. I now have these blades on my 10 "tablesaw, 7-1/4" circ and 12 "mitersaw. I also have a reinforcement of their blade on tablesaw ... you should get that too.

After 30 years it is the thin front kirf I used on my table saw (Delta Contractors Saw currently). I read about thin kirf a number of times, but an article I read recently and some 8 / 4 nuts that seemed to give my business has seen a heck of a workout convinced me I have to give it a try. I pulled a 4 / 4 Maple, walnut and Chery and I must admit, I bought one of those long ago. Entrepreneurs who had seen struggeled with 4 / 4 Maplecherry in the past, with what was good Gernal object or tooth combination blades 40 & 50 kirf regular, seems to have a new life. If I had been blindfolded and hands a piece of wood to tear I thought it is pine or poplar, maple sugar and no icing. The slides I used in the past have always been given the best players test blade leading journals in the world of woodworking, so it's not as if I am using the cheap, and they have always been strong . They have never cut this propertywhen ripping hardwood, the LU87R010 provided a surface much better and I actually went straight to the glue in place, something I could never do with other blades. I must admit I'm impressed. I always thought a good combination blade has been everything I had, and now I'm convinced this is the best blade for my saw for ripping. I think I'll get a dedicated cross-section blade and just make the transition every time I change the type of cut. Although I no longer intersects the cross on my cursor as if it istoo wide. I don't see how you can go wrong with this blade.

I use this blade on a Dewalt 709 Compound Sliding Miter Saw. I purchased it based on reviews on other woodworking sites and while there were others rated higher, it was hard to justify the dramatic increased price of the Forest or even other Freud blade. I have had a Freud 10" combination blade in my tablesaw and have used a Freud 8" stack dado set for about 10 years and have had absolutely nothing but good experiences with both. This 12" cutoff blade is such a treat, especially after wearing out the original DeWalt blade on a deck, a complete refinish of a basement and installing hardwood flooring on one floor of a house. I thought about just getting the blade sharpened but there was almost nothing left to sharpen. The Freud blade is so quiet and cuts so smoothly that there have been times I've had to check to see if I really did shave a little off the board or missed completely. Heartily recommend this blade for CSMS users.

This is probably the best article I could buy for our crown molding project. My wife and I are building our house with both hands. I was worried about installing the cornice with all the stuff you need to master to get a good job. The crown molding jig Bench Dog answering all questions simply with all the confusion associated with cutting the molding. I will say that I had an idea of someone else who bought the same template, itis a good idea to physically attach the jig saw. I drilled two holes in the vertical part of the template that matched the existing hole on the fence with my chainsaw. I'm using bolts with wing nuts, wing nuts, it is easier to move the template from left or right side depending on the easiest haircut you want.

That’s because crown molding gets installed at an angle against the wall and ceiling, and precise cuts are required to obtain tight-fitting corner joints. Complicating the situation is the fact that crown molding is expensive; it only takes two or three miscuts to blow your budget. But don’t despair you can end the trepidation and frustration with the Bench Dog 10-010 Crown-Cut Jig. This surprisingly simple device provides a quick, foolproof way to cut crown molding, even for novice do-it-yourselfers.

Crown-Cut is designed to work with any 10-inch or larger power miter saw, and it’ll accommodate crown moldings up to 6 inches wide. The jig is made of Baltic birch plywood and it plastic stops and steel tabs that adjust to match the molding’s height and distance it projects from the wall.
